The Assessor can provide property tax relief to property owners affected by the 2024 flood in San Diego County.
The property tax relief deadline for those affected by the 2024 floods is quickly approaching. If you have not filed an Application for Reassessment of Property Damaged by Misfortune or Calamity, you need to apply by January 22, 2025.

Between December 1, 2024, and April 30, 2025, if you believe the market value of your property has fallen below the assessed value as shown on your current property tax bill for 2024, then you may submit a request for an “Informal Review of Assessment” for your property. We will keep you informed on our review and any reduction we can grant will be reflected on your 2025 tax bill that you will receive next Fall.
