Effective the first business day of January 2027, the fees for recording a deed, quitclaim deed, mortgage, and deed of trust will increase by a $5 fee.
This change is required under SB 255, pursuant to Government Code 27297.7, which mandates counties to implement a Recorder Notification Program.
The fee will officially go into effect on Monday, January 4, 2027.
